What is OpenLift Tracker?
OpenLift Tracker is a free, web-based strength training utility built on a zero-account architecture. Unlike traditional fitness apps that lock workout logging behind logins, paywalls, or app store downloads, OpenLift runs entirely in the browser using HTML5 LocalStorage. Lifters can log sets, run automated rest timers, and backup their data as portable JSON files without disclosing any personal data.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about tracking workouts on OpenLift.
Do I need an account or email to track my workouts?
No. OpenLift is 100% account-free. Your checked sets, completed workout days, and custom pinned YouTube tutorials persist directly inside your web browser's LocalStorage memory.
What happens if I clear my browser cache or switch devices?
Clearing your browser's site data will reset your logs. To prevent data loss or to move your progress between your phone and laptop, click the "Save to File" button in any tracker. It will download a lightweight JSON backup file that you can restore anytime via "Import Backup".
Can I use OpenLift offline in the gym?
Yes. Thanks to Cloudflare Edge Caching and client-side JavaScript execution, once you open a workout page, the rest clocks, checkboxes, and exercise cues continue to function without an active cellular data connection.
